CECILIA HO - “SPACE OF POSSIBILITY”

ARTIST STATEMENT

 With an artistic perspective, I reinvent a new space with history, philosophy, literature, architecture and culture of China and France. Here Laozi can discuss Daoism with Descartes; Victor Hugo shares his emotions with Su Shi when visiting the grave of his daughter; Li QingZhao and Louise Ackermann exchange their sufferings; Buddha and the Arch of Triumph unite; The tall Eiffel Tower links with the continuous Great Wall; Notre Dame de Paris and the Temple of Heaven rebuild next to each other after the fire destruction. Here, there is no restriction on time, distance, place, format, reason, religion and concept. It is a space where everything can be possible.

 These works express the concept of fusion, in language, calligraphy, painting and crafts. They are, like myself, a true veritable fusion of Sino-French.

何㯋妍 - 中法合璧

 我用中法兩國的歷史、哲學、文學、建築和文化，重新創造了一個新的藝術視角空間。在這裡老子可以與笛卡爾討論道家思想；維克多·雨果在為女兒掃墓時與蘇軾交流情感；李清照與路易絲‧阿克曼在互訴悲哀；佛陀與凱旋門的團結；高聳的艾菲爾鐵塔與綿延萬里長城的連接；巴黎聖母院和北京天壇在火災後毗鄰重建。在這裡，沒有時間、距離、地域、形式、理性、宗教、觀念的限制。這是一個一切皆有可能的空間。

 這些作品以語言、書法、繪畫、工藝等方式表達共融概念。他們和我一樣，是真正的中法合璧。
